OpenAI describes it as its most capable image model yet: precise, usable stills with stronger editing, better layouts, improved text rendering, and more reliable instruction-following. ChatGPT Images 2.0 is the ChatGPT product; PoloX runs the same family as two studio tasks.
Can I use GPT Image 2 as an AI image generator on PoloX?
Yes. On PoloX, GPT Image 2 is available as a text-to-image generator. You can write a prompt, set aspect ratio (including auto, 1:1, 3:2, 2:3, 4:3, 3:4, 16:9, 9:16, 21:9, and others), and output at 1K, 2K, or 4K. Auto only supports 1K, 1:1 cannot use 4K, and some tall or extra-wide ratios stay at 1K.
Does GPT Image 2 support AI image editing?
Yes. Officially the model is stronger at edits that preserve detail and composition. On PoloX this runs as image-to-image: upload up to 16 JPEG, PNG, or WEBP references (30MB each) and describe the change. PoloX does not currently expose ChatGPT thinking mode, web search, or a multi-image storyboard toolbar; those ChatGPT-only flows stay in ChatGPT.
What is text mode on GPT Image 2?
In ChatGPT, text mode is the path for images where copy is a primary design element. There is no separate text-mode toggle on PoloX.
